Thu Dec 26 09:24:36 UTC 2024: ## Karnataka CM Inaugurates Asmite Khadi Fair in Belagavi
**Belagavi, December 26, 2024** – Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar inaugurated the Asmite Khadi Fair 2024 in Belagavi today. The fair, held in the Sardar High School ground, is part of the centenary celebrations of the 1924 Belgaum Congress session and the ongoing Gandhi Bharata celebrations.
The fair, featuring 150 stalls, showcases a wide array of products from women’s self-help groups (SHGs) across Karnataka. These include khadi products, handicrafts like Channapatna wooden dolls and Kinnala from Koppal, traditional sarees, innovative fabrics, food items, and much more. Ten stalls are dedicated to food, and fifty showcase khadi.
The event will run until January 4th, offering free entry to the public from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM daily. Evening cultural programs by SHGs will be held from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Several Akka Cafes, run by SHG members, are also present at the venue. The fair aims to promote local artisans and their diverse products.
