**Thane, Maharashtra –** Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is recovering well after developing a fever while hospitalized for a urinary tract infection, doctors reported on Tuesday, December 25, 2024. The 52-year-old, admitted to Akruti Hospital near Bhiwandi since December 21st, is responding to treatment and is expected to be discharged in a few days.
While initially in critical condition due to a severe urinary infection with pus buildup in his bladder, Kambli’s condition has stabilized. Shrikant Shinde’s foundation pledged Rs 5 lakh in financial assistance, and the Deputy Chief Minister’s office confirmed a visit by an official to ensure Kambli receives the best care.
