**Hyderabad, December 25, 2024** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated a range of development projects in Medak district totaling ₹192 crore, and participated in the centenary celebrations of the Medak Cathedral.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for several key initiatives, including road construction connecting tribal villages (₹52.76 crore), a Young India Integrated Residential School Complex, and the Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavan (₹5 crore). A significant ₹100 crore in bank linkage cheques were also distributed to self-help group (SHG) women in the district. Further infrastructure improvements in Edupayala, encompassing road expansion and lighting, will receive a ₹35 crore investment.
Later, Mr. Reddy joined the centenary celebrations of the Medak Cathedral, the second-largest in Asia. He also laid the foundation stone for additional development works at the cathedral, valued at ₹29 crore. In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to the welfare of marginalized communities, citing initiatives like fee reimbursement and Rajiv Aarogyasri as examples inspired by the historical contributions of Christian missionaries in education and healthcare.
The event was attended by several state ministers, MLAs, and the TPCC President.
