**Los Angeles, CA –** Disney Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear is joining the Brawl Stars universe in a limited-time event running from December 12th to February 5th. This marks the first time a character from outside the Brawl Stars universe will be playable. The collaboration, announced by Supercell, features a new cinematic trailer produced by Psyop, directed by Doug Sweetland and Kyle Cassidy.
Players can experience Buzz Lightyear in three unique battle modes utilizing laser, wing, and saber abilities. The event also includes Toy Story-themed skins for existing Brawl Stars characters Colt, Bibi, and Jessie, transforming them into Woody, Bo Peep, and Jessie respectively. After the event concludes, players can unlock a Buzz Lightyear skin for Surge.
“Toy Story is the ideal collab for us,” said Frank Keienburg, Brawl Stars General Manager. “The theme of teamwork and connection is at the heart of Brawl Stars, mirroring the spirit of Toy Story.” The event also features the addition of the Pizza Planet Arcade.
The cinematic trailer showcases the excitement of the crossover, highlighting Buzz Lightyear’s arrival in the game. The Psyop team, including CG supervisor Christina Faraj, 3D animator Ryan Moran, and FX artist Bryan Gonzales, brought the trailer to life.
