**Hyderabad, December 26** – Twenty days after a tragic incident at the premiere of *Pushpa 2: The Rule* in Hyderabad, the injured child, Sri Tej, has finally shown signs of improvement, his father announced Tuesday. The incident, which occurred on December 4th at Sandhya Theatre, resulted in the death of a woman, Revathi, and injuries to her son.

The chaos erupted when actor Allu Arjun, the film’s star, greeted fans from his car’s sunroof, sparking a crush of onlookers. Allu Arjun was questioned by police and subsequently released on bail after posting bond.

Following the tragedy, the film’s producers, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, presented a 50 lakh rupee (approximately $600,000 USD) cheque to Revathi’s family at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad. The presentation was witnessed by Telangana Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. The producers expressed deep sorrow over the incident and their commitment to supporting the affected families.

Meanwhile, Sri Tej’s father expressed gratitude for the support received from Allu Arjun and the Telangana government, highlighting the boy’s improved condition.

The incident has ignited a political firestorm. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized Allu Arjun, revealing that police had denied permission for any event at Sandhya Theatre due to safety concerns, citing the theatre’s single entry/exit point and congested location. Despite this denial, the event proceeded, escalating the situation. The Chief Minister’s statement implies a failure of security protocols leading to the tragic outcome. The investigation continues.
