Tue Dec 24 19:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Jude Law Stars in “The Order,” a True-Crime Drama About a Neo-Nazi Terrorist Group

**Portland, OR** – A new film, “The Order,” premiering on Amazon Prime Video December 24th, recounts the violent history of a domestic terrorist group operating in the Pacific Northwest. The film stars Jude Law as an FBI agent, a fictional character inspired by a real-life former agent, investigating the activities of The Order, a white supremacist organization.

Based on the book “The Silent Brotherhood,” the film details The Order’s anti-Semitic beliefs, bank robberies, and ultimate goal of overthrowing the U.S. government. Their crimes included the 1984 murder of Denver radio talk-show host Alan Berg. Nicholas Hoult portrays Robert Jay Matthews, the group’s leader, a fervent white supremacist who sought to establish a white enclave in the Northwest and was influenced by the racist novel “The Turner Diaries.”

The film culminates in the intense manhunt for Matthews and his followers following a shootout with FBI agents in Portland in November 1984. The confrontation resulted in injuries to both an FBI agent and Matthews, who later perished in a fiery standoff on Whidbey Island.

Directed by Justin Kurzel and filmed on location in Canada, “The Order” offers a gripping portrayal of a dark chapter in American history. The film is currently showing in select theaters and will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on December 24th.
