**Hyderabad, December 25, 2024** – Film producer Dil Raju, also the chairman of the Film Development Corporation (FDC), has announced the Telangana government’s commitment to supporting the family of Sri Tej, the actor injured in the recent stampede at Sandhya Theater during the “Pushpa” premiere. Raju stated that he discussed the matter with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who has approved providing assistance to Sri Tej’s family. Raju visited Sri Tej in KIMS hospital, reporting that the actor is recovering well and is off the ventilator.
Raju also addressed concerns that the government is targeting the film industry, stating that this is untrue. He revealed that the CM has assured the industry of full support and has tasked him with acting as a liaison between the government and the film industry to resolve any issues. A meeting with the CM involving several industry leaders is planned for Wednesday or Thursday.
Beyond Sri Tej’s family, Raju also confirmed that the government and the film industry will collectively support the family of Revathi, who tragically lost her life in the stampede. He personally promised to secure employment for Revathi’s husband, Bhaskar, within the film industry, and assured further assistance through the FDC. He also mentioned that Allu Arjun is also extending support to the affected families. Raju emphasized his commitment to ensuring swift and effective resolution of the issues arising from the incident. He characterized the stampede as an unfortunate accident.
