HYDERABAD, INDIA – Producer Allu Aravind announced a ₹2 crore (approximately $240,000 USD) compensation package for the family of Shri Tej, a boy injured in the recent stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The pledge follows a visit to Tej, who is recovering at KIMS Hospital.
Aravind stated that the funds will be contributed by Allu Arjun (₹1 crore), and the producers and director Sukumar of *Pushpa 2* (₹50 lakh each). The checks were handed over to Dil Raju, chairman of the Film Development Corporation (FDC).
Aravind reported that Tej is recovering well and has been taken off life support. He expressed hope for a full recovery. Aravind also noted that legal matters prevented him from directly contacting the family earlier but that he visited Tej ten days prior.
Dil Raju, who accompanied Aravind along with *Pushpa 2* producer Ravi Shankar to the hospital, added that Tej’s health is improving and that a meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is planned to discuss further support. Raju clarified his role as FDC chairman in this context, emphasizing his intention to bridge the gap between the film industry and the government. He also mentioned plans to meet with Allu Arjun shortly.
