Wed Dec 25 07:39:33 UTC 2024: ## Delhi CM Atishi Faces Impending Arrest, Claims Kejriwal
**New Delhi, December 25, 2024** – A political firestorm erupted today as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of orchestrating the imminent arrest of his colleague, Chief Minister Atishi, on fabricated charges. Kejriwal, speaking at a press conference alongside Atishi, alleged that central investigative agencies are preparing a false case related to the transport department, ostensibly to derail the AAP’s popular free bus rides scheme for women.
Kejriwal vehemently declared his commitment to the scheme, stating, “I will not let the scheme of free bus rides for women stop till I am alive.” He further claimed the BJP is unnerved by the success of AAP’s other social welfare initiatives, the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana.
Adding to the escalating tensions, the Delhi government’s Women and Child Development and Health departments issued public notices distancing themselves from the AAP’s promised ₹2,100 monthly payment to women and free elderly healthcare. The notices warned citizens against sharing personal information with individuals or parties promoting these schemes, labeling such activities as fraudulent. This move follows the AAP’s recent high-profile registration drive for these initiatives.
Atishi vowed to take disciplinary action against officials responsible for the disavowal of the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana. The conflicting statements from the AAP and the Delhi government departments set the stage for a dramatic showdown ahead of upcoming Assembly elections.
