**Thane, Maharashtra –** Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has been hospitalized at Akriti Hospital in Thane after doctors discovered blood clots in his brain. The 52-year-old was admitted on December 21st, initially complaining of a urinary infection and cramps. However, further examinations revealed the presence of the clots, according to Dr. Vivek Trivedi, Kambli’s treating physician. Kambli’s condition is being closely monitored, with additional tests scheduled for Tuesday. Hospital authorities have pledged to provide Kambli with lifelong free treatment.

Kambli, a member of India’s 1996 World Cup team, has faced numerous health challenges and financial difficulties since retiring from the sport.
