Tue Dec 24 16:07:36 UTC 2024: ## Former Indian Cricketer Vinod Kambli Recovering in Hospital

**Thane, Maharashtra:** Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli, hospitalized in Thane due to a medical emergency, is showing improvement but remains under observation. A friend, Marcus Couto, revealed Kambli was admitted on Saturday with a urinary tract infection. Couto has urged the hospital management to keep Kambli under observation for at least a month, especially since his medical bills are being covered by another individual.

Kambli expressed his gratitude to the medical team, stating, “I am alive because of the doctors here. I will do whatever they ask me to do.” He was initially admitted by a fan who owns a hospital in the Kalher area.

Kambli, who represented India in 17 Test matches and 104 One Day Internationals between 1993 and 2000, is expected to remain hospitalized for further treatment and monitoring. His condition is now said to be stable. The news follows reports of his hospitalization earlier this week.
