**Washington, D.C. – December 23, 2024** – Sriram Krishnan, a former partner at venture capital firm a16z and veteran of tech giants Microsoft, Meta, and Snap, has been appointed as the Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, President-elect Donald Trump announced.

Krishnan, whose career began at Microsoft as a founding member of Windows Azure, will work closely with newly appointed White House AI and Crypto Czar David Sacks to maintain US leadership in AI and coordinate AI policies across the government.
