Tue Dec 24 16:32:36 UTC 2024: ## Harmanpreet Deol’s Century Propels India to Record ODI Score Against West Indies

**Vadodara:** Harmanpreet Deol smashed her maiden international century, a stunning 115 off 103 balls, leading India to a massive 358/5 against the West Indies in the second ODI at Vadodara on December 24th. This is India’s highest ever ODI score against the West Indies, and equals their all-time highest ODI total of 358/2, achieved against Ireland in 2017.

Deol’s innings, studded with 16 boundaries, powered India past the 350-run mark. She received excellent support from Smriti Mandhana (53) and Pratima Rao (76), who put on a 110-run opening partnership. Further contributions came from Jemimah Rodrigues (52), who shared a crucial 116-run partnership with Deol. While the West Indies bowlers – Deandra Dottin, Afy Fletcher, Jada James, and Kaysia Joseph – managed to take a wicket each, they were unable to stem the flow of runs.

India, having won the toss and opted to bat, showcased a dominant batting display throughout the innings. This victory gives India a 2-0 lead in the series, securing the ODI series win after their earlier triumph in the first match. The impressive performance follows India’s success in the recent T20I series against the West Indies.
