**New Delhi, December 24, 2024** – Over 250 Delhi school teachers and staff received training on Monday on how to respond to bomb threats, following a recent spate of hoax threats targeting schools across the city. The seminar, a collaboration between Delhi Police and the Delhi Education Department, covered crisis management techniques, including staying calm, coordinating with police, and evacuation procedures. The training also included awareness sessions on cybercrimes and substance abuse prevention.
According to DCP (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam, the initiative, part of the Delhi L-G’s Samvaad programme, aimed to equip educators with the skills to handle emergencies and identify potential risks among students. Approximately 247 teachers from both government and private schools in the Trans-Yamuna area participated. The program featured specialized sessions led by experts, including DCP (Crime Branch) Sanjay Sain. The training emphasized the importance of effective communication and collaboration with law enforcement during a crisis.
