**Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir –** A Srinagar resident, Farhaan Muzaffar Mattoo, has been charged with providing sensitive information about Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees to handlers in Pakistan, who subsequently issued online threats. The chargesheet was filed on December 23rd, 2024, before the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge in Jammu by the Jammu & Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA).

The investigation, launched in February 2024 following a series of threats on social media, revealed Mattoo used encrypted communication to relay the data to Pakistan-based operatives. These threats were disseminated through the “Kashmir Fight” platform, a social media handle operated by The Resistance Front (TRF), a terrorist organization.

Sheikh Sajjad Ahmad, alias Sajjad Gul, another Srinagar resident now residing in Pakistan, has been named as the mastermind behind the intimidation campaign aimed at migrant employees and the disruption of communal harmony in the Union Territory.

Jammu and Kashmir Police lauded the filing of the chargesheet as a significant step in combating cyber-terrorism, highlighting their commitment to maintaining peace and security for all citizens.
