**VISAKHAPATNAM, December 24, 2024** – A 13-year-old boy died by suicide in Akkayyapalem, Visakhapatnam, on Monday, December 23rd. Police suspect that addiction to online games and horror videos may have contributed to the tragic event.
The Class VIII student, who lived with his grandparents, was found deceased in the family’s washroom. His grandmother discovered him and rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
According to IV Town Police Station Inspector Satyanarayana, the grandparents believe the boy’s exposure to online games and horror movies played a role in his decision. However, the Inspector stated that a full investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death. A case has been registered.
