Tue Dec 24 09:30:00 UTC 2024: ## India Women Smash Record Score Against West Indies in Second ODI

**LUCKNOW, INDIA** – India’s women’s cricket team equalled their highest ever ODI total, posting a mammoth 358/5 against the West Indies in the second ODI on Tuesday. This score matches their previous best of 358/2 achieved against Ireland in 2017.

Harleen Deol led the charge with a stunning 115 off 103 balls, including 16 fours. She was well-supported by Pratika Rawal (76 runs, 86 balls) and Jemimah Rodrigues (52 runs, 36 balls). The opening partnership between Smriti Mandhana (53 runs, 47 balls) and Rawal provided a solid foundation, adding 110 runs for the first wicket before Mandhana was run out.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat first. While Kaur herself contributed a quick 22, the West Indies bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batting onslaught. Hayley Matthews, Deandra Dottin, Kaysia Joseph and Afy Fletcher each took one wicket.

India’s impressive total sets up a challenging chase for the West Indies in the second match of the three-game series.
