**Hisar, Haryana, December 23, 2024** – Four children were killed and one critically injured when a wall collapsed at a brick kiln in Budana village, Hisar district, Haryana, on Sunday night. The victims, all from Uttar Pradesh, were sleeping near the wall when it gave way.
The deceased were identified as Nisha (3 months), Suraj (9), Nandini (5), and Vivek (9). A five-year-old girl, Gauri, remains in critical condition at Hisar Civil Hospital. Police sources indicate that many families of laborers from Uttar Pradesh work at the kiln.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Hansi, Hemendra Kumar Meena, confirmed the incident and stated that while Suraj, Nandini, and Vivek died at the scene, Nisha passed away en route to the hospital. He further noted that no formal complaint has been filed by the victims’ families, but action will be taken if a complaint is received. The SP visited the hospital to meet with the bereaved families. Investigations into the cause of the wall collapse are ongoing.
