**New Delhi –** Following a recent spate of hoax bomb threats targeting Delhi schools, the Delhi Police conducted a training seminar on Monday to equip teachers and school staff with the skills to manage such crises. The seminar, a collaboration between the Delhi Police and the Education Department, was attended by approximately 247 teachers from both government and private schools across the Trans Yamuna area.
The training focused on maintaining calm, coordinating with police during a bomb threat, and implementing effective evacuation procedures. The session also included crucial information on cybercrime awareness and prevention, substance abuse prevention strategies, and identifying warning signs among students.
The initiative, part of the Delhi LG’s Samvaad program, comes in response to multiple schools receiving hoax bomb threats over the past 10 days, causing significant disruption to classes and necessitating extensive multi-agency search operations. Speakers included Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam and DCP Sanjay Sain from the Crime Branch, along with cybercrime expert ACP Prabhat Sinha (retd). The training aimed to provide educators with the tools to handle emergencies effectively and safeguard students.
