**Hyderabad, Telangana –** A new 24/7 call center has been launched in Hyderabad to address complaints regarding drinking water supply in rural areas of Telangana, as part of the Mission Bhagiratha initiative. The toll-free number, 1800-599-4007, allows residents to report issues directly to the state government.
The center, staffed by five professionals under a Superintending Engineer, will ensure complaints are addressed within 24 hours. Nighttime calls will be logged and reviewed the following day. Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) spearheaded the initiative, emphasizing the need for streamlined communication and efficient problem-solving.
In addition to the new helpline, Mission Bhagiratha has also undertaken significant infrastructure repairs, restoring 64,218 hand pumps, 45,882 single-phase motors, and 32,517 Piped Water Supply (PWS) motors. Alternative water supply plans are in place to manage emergencies. The government’s commitment to reliable rural water supply is highlighted by these combined efforts.
