**Gurugram, Haryana –** Veteran politician and former Chief Minister of Haryana, Om Prakash Chautala, passed away on Friday, December 20th, 2024, at his residence in Gurugram at the age of 89. His final rites will be performed with full state honors on December 21st at his ancestral village, Chautala, in Sirsa.
Chautala’s body was brought to Teja Khedar, where it lay in state from 8 AM to 2 PM on Saturday for public viewing. A large gathering of mourners, including prominent political figures from Haryana and Punjab, are expected to attend the funeral. The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, and the Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, are among those expected to pay their respects.
