**Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2024** – Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) and the Cardiology at Doorsteps (CAD) Foundation Trust have jointly donated 64 electrocardiogram (ECG) machines to primary health centers (PHCs) and Namma Clinics across Dakshina Kannada district. The ₹18.8 lakh initiative aims to improve access to essential diagnostic tools and strengthen healthcare infrastructure in both rural and urban areas.
The distribution, which took place on December 18th, was attended by Zilla Panchayat CEO K. Anandh, CAD Foundation President Dr. Padmanabha Kamath, District Health Officer H.R. Thimmaiah, and MRPL Chief General Manager Manoj Kumar.
Mr. Kumar emphasized MRPL’s commitment to community welfare, stating that healthcare is a fundamental right. Dr. Kamath highlighted the crucial role of ECG machines in early cardiac condition detection, especially in rural areas.
The project is touted as a significant step towards bridging healthcare gaps and improving community well-being in Dakshina Kannada. The initiative underscores MRPL’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and its ongoing efforts to address critical healthcare needs in the region.
