**Mangalore, Karnataka – December 22, 2024** – Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) recently concluded a successful artificial limb camp for individuals affected by endosulfan pesticide exposure in Dakshina Kannada district. The initiative, part of MRPL’s Arogya Samrakshan Scheme, provided 72 beneficiaries in Puttur and Belthangady with artificial limbs, significantly improving their mobility and quality of life.

The three-day camp, held in collaboration with the Jaipur Foot organisation and the Dakshina Kannada District Health Department, had a budget of ₹12 lakh. MRPL’s Chief General Manager (HR), Krishna Hegde Miyar, emphasized the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and addressing pressing social issues within the communities it serves.

Beneficiaries and their families expressed deep gratitude for the life-changing support provided by MRPL. The camp is viewed not only as a significant step towards physical rehabilitation but also as a symbol of renewed hope for the affected families.
