**Bengaluru, [Date]** – Virat Kohli’s upscale pub, One8 Commune, located on MG Road, is facing potential closure after the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) issued a seven-day notice for alleged fire safety violations. The notice, issued by the Shanthinagar Division Health Officer, follows a complaint from social activists H.M. Venkatesh and Kunigal Narasimhamurthy alleging the establishment is operating without the necessary no-objection certificate from the Fire Department.

Venkatesh highlighted the broader issue of fire safety violations in Bengaluru’s high-rise buildings, citing past tragedies like the Carlton Towers fire. This is not the first time One8 Commune has faced regulatory scrutiny. In July, an FIR was filed against the pub for operating beyond the permitted 1 a.m. closing time.
