**Hollywood, CA** – Riding high on the success of “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” Paramount Pictures has announced plans for a fourth installment in the popular franchise, slated for a spring 2027 release. The announcement comes as “Sonic 3” is poised for a blockbuster opening weekend, projected to earn between $55 million and $60 million in North American theaters alone.
The film, which boasts an impressive 87% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is already generating significant buzz. The previous two films have grossed a combined $725.2 million globally and spurred over $180 million in home entertainment revenue.
