**New Delhi, India –** Kia India has launched its second compact SUV, the Syros, aiming to disrupt the competitive Indian market. Positioned to rival both compact and mid-size SUVs, the Syros boasts a unique tall-boy design, a luxurious interior, and advanced technology features.

The Syros will be available in four standard and two option trims (HTK, HTK(O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, HTX+(O)) and is expected to be priced between ₹9-17 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings open January 3rd, 2025, with deliveries commencing in early February 2025.

Powering the Syros are two engine options borrowed from the Sonet: a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine (120PS/172Nm) and a 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine (116PS/250Nm). Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT (petrol) and 6-speed manual and automatic (diesel).

Kia highlights the Syros’s spacious interior, featuring segment-first sliding and reclining 60:40 split second-row seats and ventilated seating for both rows. Luxury features include a 30-inch trinity panoramic display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless charger, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Safety is a key focus, with 20 standard safety features including six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The Syros also offers Level 2 ADAS with 16 advanced driver-assistance capabilities, such as forward collision avoidance and lane keep assist. Connectivity is enhanced by Kia Connect 2.0 and segment-first over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
