**Jaipur, Rajasthan, India** – A horrific gas tanker explosion on Ajmer Road in Jaipur, Rajasthan early Friday morning has resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 14 people and left over 20 others critically injured. The death toll is expected to rise as several individuals remain in critical condition at SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
The explosion, which occurred near the Bhankrota petrol pump, ignited a massive fire engulfing approximately 25 vehicles. The resulting inferno caused widespread chaos and a significant traffic jam on Ajmer Road. Rescue operations are underway, with authorities searching for potential victims trapped within the charred vehicles.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have expressed their condolences, and both the central and state governments have announced financial assistance. The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will provide 500,000 rupees to the families of the deceased and 100,000 rupees to the injured. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi announced 200,000 rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for each deceased’s family and 50,000 rupees for the injured.
