**Namakkal, Tamil Nadu –** The family of a deceased engineer has received a ₹5 crore compensation settlement in a special Lok Adalat held at the Namakkal District Court on Thursday. Gautham (35), a Dubai-based engineer, died in a road accident on August 29, 2023, when his two-wheeler collided with a minivan near Nagarajapuram.

After negotiations with the insurance company, a settlement was reached, resulting in the significant compensation payout to Gautham’s family. Principal District Judge R. Gurumurthy officially handed over the compensation order. The accident, which occurred while Gautham was taking his daughter to school, prompted a police investigation and subsequent legal action.
