**[City, State] –** Bajaj Auto, a leading Indian automobile manufacturer, launched its new electric scooter, the Chetak 35 series, on Friday. The series includes two variants, the Chetak 3501 and 3502, both boasting a classic design. The 3501 is priced at ₹1,27,000, while the 3502 is priced at ₹1,20,000. Bajaj also announced plans to launch a 3503 variant soon.
The scooters feature a 3.5 kW battery pack and a 4 kW motor, enabling a top speed of 73 kmph. A full charge, taking approximately three hours, provides a range of up to 153 kilometers. The Chetak 35 series is equipped with several advanced features including music control, a 5-inch touch TFT display, calling functionality, and safety features such as an overspeed alert, theft alert, geofencing, and accident detection.
The new Bajaj electric scooter will compete directly with models like the TVS iQube, Ola S1, and Ather 450X in the burgeoning Indian electric scooter market.
