Sat Dec 21 07:07:11 UTC 2024: ## Four Killed, Ten Injured in Gory Road Accident in Andhra Pradesh

**PUTTAPARTHI, Andhra Pradesh (Dec. 21, 2024)** – A horrific road accident claimed the lives of four members of the same family and left ten others critically injured early Saturday morning in Sri Sathya Sai district. The accident occurred on NH-44 near Bullasamudram village when a 12-seater tempo, carrying pilgrims returning from Tirumala, collided with a parked lorry at high speed.

The victims, all residents of K.N. Palle village, were identified as Ratnamma (69), her daughter Prem Kumari (30), her son-in-law Manoj (30), who was driving, and their granddaughter Antarva (2). Ten other family members sustained serious injuries, four of whom are in critical condition. They were transported to hospitals in Madakasira, Hindupur, and Bengaluru.

Police suspect driver fatigue may have been a contributing factor to the accident. Minister S. Savitha has contacted police and district officials, ensuring the injured receive quality medical care. Superintendent of Police V. Ratna and other senior officials visited the scene and the injured in the hospital. A police investigation is underway.
