**NEW DELHI, December 20, 2024** – Kia India has launched its fifth SUV, the Syros, aiming to boost its market share. Bookings open January 3, 2025, with deliveries commencing in February 2025. Pricing will be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Show next month.

Positioned between the Sonet and Seltos, the Syros will compete with models like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, and the upcoming Skoda Kylaq. Built on the K1 platform, it offers a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The Syros boasts a range of features including a dual-tone interior, dual-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and a Harman Kardon sound system. It will be available in six trims: HTK, HTK(O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+(O).

Kia India currently holds a 15% market share in the compact and mid-SUV and MPV segments. The company aims to increase this to 20% in the fiscal year 2025 with the launch of the Syros. Kia India’s senior vice president, Hardeep Singh Brar, and MD & CEO Gwanggu Lee, expressed confidence in the Syros enhancing Kia’s product portfolio.
