Fri Dec 20 12:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Telangana High Court Grants KTR Interim Relief in Formula-E Case
**Hyderabad, December 20, 2024** – The Telangana High Court has granted interim relief to K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), in a case related to the Formula-E car race. The court issued an order prohibiting KTR’s arrest for a week.
KTR had filed a lunch motion petition seeking to quash the case filed against him by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). His legal team argued that the ACB’s case was politically motivated and lacked evidence of KTR benefiting from the Formula-E event. They contended that the sections of law invoked by the ACB were not applicable to KTR and that allegations of electoral code violations were baseless.
The High Court, after hearing arguments from both sides, granted the interim stay on KTR’s arrest. The court permitted the ACB to continue its investigation and directed the state government to file a counter-affidavit by December 30th. The next hearing is scheduled for December 27th.
