**New Delhi:** A political storm erupted in the Indian Parliament after a physical altercation between BJP and opposition MPs. The BJP has filed a complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of assaulting BJP MPs within the Parliament complex. The complaint, which includes charges under sections 109 (abetment of an offense), 115 (abetment of a criminal act), 117 (abetment of a criminal act), 125 (abetment of a criminal act), 131 (abetment of a criminal act), and 351 (assault), notably cites Section 109, which relates to culpable homicide. The incident occurred amidst protests by opposition parties over alleged disrespect shown to B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The BJP alleges that Gandhi pushed BJP MP Pradeep Chandra Sarangi, causing him injuries. However, Gandhi denies the allegations, stating that BJP MPs obstructed and threatened him as he entered Parliament. Opposition parties vehemently deny the BJP’s accusations, claiming the BJP MPs instigated the violence during peaceful protests. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accused the BJP of staging a drama to protect Amit Shah.

The incident led to a heated exchange and a pushing match between MPs, resulting in injuries to at least one BJP member. The police are investigating the matter. The clash highlights the escalating tensions between the ruling BJP and the opposition within the Parliament.
