**New Delhi:** Kia Motors has launched its highly anticipated mid-size SUV, the Kia Seltos, aiming to make a splash in the Indian automobile market. Positioned between the Seltos and Sonet in Kia’s lineup, the Seltos is marketed as the perfect family SUV, boasting a blend of style, performance, and luxury. The company claims it offers a superior experience in all aspects.
The Seltos will compete with models like the Tata Punch, Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Exter. Bookings open January 3rd, 2025, with deliveries expected to begin in February. While pricing hasn’t been officially revealed, estimates suggest a starting price of ₹9 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine options include a 1.0-liter turbo petrol generating 118bhp and 172Nm torque, and a 1.5-liter diesel producing 114bhp and 250Nm torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox comes standard, with 6-speed torque converter automatic and 7-speed DCT automatic options also available.
