Tue Dec 17 08:53:17 UTC 2024: ## Manchester United Players Spread Holiday Cheer at Disabled Supporters’ Christmas Party

**Manchester, England** – Over 90 members of the Manchester United Disabled Supporters’ Association (MUDSA) enjoyed a memorable Christmas party at Old Trafford this week, highlighted by appearances from both the men’s and women’s teams. The annual event, a tradition since 1989, saw players from both squads interacting with fans, posing for photos, and signing autographs.

Women’s team players Ella Toone, Aoife Mannion, Lisa Naaslund, and Evie Rabjohn were among the first to arrive, fresh from their 4-0 victory over Liverpool. They were followed by a host of men’s team stars including Marcus Rashford, Amad, and Casemiro.

“It means a lot for players,” said Amad, “to come here and enjoy time with the fans who support us every time we’re on the pitch.” Rashford echoed the sentiment, calling the event a “tradition” the players try to make time for. Joshua Zirkzee, attending his first MUDSA party, described the event as “amazing.”

Amad and Ella Toone were also recognized as the MUDSA Player of the Year for their respective teams.

The event also served as a poignant tribute to the late Chas Banks MBE, MUDSA secretary since 2016, with Rick Clement announced as his successor.

Director of Fan Engagement, Rick McGagh, praised the event as “one of the best yet,” emphasizing the importance of bringing fans and players together, especially during the holiday season. The club further highlighted its commitment to community engagement by noting that the men’s team also visited patients at local hospitals earlier this week, with the women’s team planning similar visits next week.
