**Hyderabad, December 16, 2024** – A bone-chilling cold wave continues to grip Telangana, with 27 out of 33 districts recording minimum temperatures below 10°C on Monday. The state capital, Hyderabad, experienced a particularly frigid morning, with the mercury dipping to 9.7°C, according to the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS).
The coldest temperatures were recorded in Bheempoor (Adilabad) and Zahirabad (Sangareddy), both registering a minimum of 6°C and 6.6°C respectively. Several other districts reported similarly low temperatures, with many areas experiencing readings between 6.7°C and 8.6°C. Only six districts escaped sub-10°C temperatures.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts dry weather to continue across Telangana for the next 24 hours. Hyderabad is expected to see partly cloudy skies with morning mist or haze, and temperatures ranging from a high of 29°C to a low of 12°C.
