**Hyderabad, Telangana –** A severe cold wave has gripped Telangana, with temperatures plummeting to record lows in several districts. Bela in Adilabad district recorded the season’s lowest temperature at a chilling 6.3 degrees Celsius on Monday morning. Hyderabad also experienced significantly low temperatures, with the University of Hyderabad campus recording 7.1 degrees Celsius and Moula Ali registering 7.2 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave is impacting not only Hyderabad but also surrounding districts including Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Rangareddy. Other areas within Hyderabad, such as BHEL (7.4°C), Rajendranagar (8.2°C), and Gachibowli (9.3°C), also experienced unusually low temperatures. Secunderabad and Quthbullapur saw minimum temperatures of 9.1°C and 9.9°C respectively.

The intense cold is widespread across rural Telangana as well, with Adilabad, Rangareddy, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Asifabad, Vikarabad, and Kamareddy all reporting significantly below-normal minimum temperatures. Several districts saw temperatures hovering between 6.3 and 7 degrees Celsius.
