Tue Dec 17 09:29:25 UTC 2024: ## White Ferns Recall Mair for Rose Bowl Series Against Australia

**Wellington, New Zealand –** Rosemary Mair of the Central Hinds will return to the White Ferns ODI squad after a two-year absence, it was announced today. Mair, the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker at the recent T20 World Cup, will feature in the three-match Rose Bowl series against Australia starting this Thursday at the Cello Basin Reserve in Wellington.

Mair’s recall is bittersweet, however, as longtime teammate Hannah Rowe has been omitted from the squad. Auckland Hearts’ Molly Penfold replaces Rowe, while uncapped Otago Sparks batter Bella James comes in for the injured Georgia Plimmer. The White Ferns are also missing injured seamer Lea Tahuhu.

The Rose Bowl series marks a relaunch of the traditional contest against Australia. All three matches will be played at the Cello Basin Reserve. The announcement follows a successful Hallyburton Johnstone Shield match for the Central Hinds, where Kerry Tomlinson scored a maiden List A century and Flora Devonshire took a maiden five-wicket haul, setting a new sixth-wicket partnership record with Tomlinson.

The White Ferns squad is captained by Sophie Devine and also includes Brooke Halliday and Molly Penfold. The matches will be broadcast live on TVNZ+, DUKE, and Sport Nation.
