**Thane, Maharashtra –** A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Thane, Maharashtra, for allegedly molesting several minor girls. Police say the accused, whose name was not released, repeatedly touched the girls inappropriately at a chawl in Kalyan, and also peeped into a public toilet used by the victims. He is also accused of stripping in front of the girls on multiple occasions.

The arrest followed a complaint filed by an auto-rickshaw driver on Monday, December 17th, 2024. The accused has been charged under section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (for assault with intent to outrage modesty) and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The investigation is ongoing.
