**COIMBATORE, December 17, 2024** – Coimbatore police arrested a 41-year-old man, S. Rafeeq, on Monday for cultivating a marijuana plant near Karumathampatti. Police acted on a tip-off and discovered the four-and-a-half-foot-tall plant at Pudur. Rafeeq, a resident of Devadanapatti in Theni district, was subsequently remanded in judicial custody.
