Tue Dec 17 05:06:08 UTC 2024: ## Indore Job Aspirants Protest “Impossible” Score in Madhya Pradesh Recruitment Exam

**Indore, Madhya Pradesh, December 17, 2024** – Unemployed youth in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, protested on Monday against alleged irregularities in the 2023 Forest and Jail Department recruitment examination. Their outrage stems from a candidate scoring 101.66 out of 100 marks, a result attributed to the exam’s normalization process.

Protesters, who gathered outside the district Collector’s office, claim the normalization process, used to adjust scores across different exam sessions, is fraudulent. They delivered a memorandum to an officer demanding a fair inquiry into the results, released December 13, 2024, by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB).

The MPESB has defended its use of normalization, stating that the process, while resulting in scores above 100 or below zero, was implemented according to established rules. However, protester Gopal Prajapat stated this was an unprecedented occurrence in the state’s history and alleged foul play, threatening further action if their demands are not met. The protest targets the recruitment of forest guards, field guards (executive), and jail guards (executive). The controversy highlights concerns over transparency and fairness in public recruitment processes in Madhya Pradesh.
