Tue Dec 17 14:01:17 UTC 2024: ## Bengaluru Police Seize ₹24 Crore Worth of MDMA in Major Drug Bust

**Bengaluru, December 17, 2024** – The Bengaluru City Police have made a significant drug seizure, arresting a 40-year-old Nigerian woman and recovering 12 kilograms of MDMA crystals valued at ₹24 crore. The arrest, made by the Anti-Narcotics Wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB), follows a raid on a grocery store in T.C. Palya, which the suspect, Roselime Oluchi Ikeoha, allegedly used as a front for her drug operation.

Police Commissioner B. Dayananda stated that the drugs were concealed within everyday items like soap packets, rice covers, and dry fish tins. Approximately 70 SIM cards were also recovered. Ikeoha confessed to supplying the drugs to a clientele including foreign nationals, college students, and private firm employees.

Investigations reveal that Ikeoha sourced the MDMA from a contact in Mumbai, utilizing various transportation methods. Authorities are currently pursuing this supplier. Ikeoha entered India on a business visa but overstayed her permitted time.

This seizure is part of a broader police crackdown on drug trafficking ahead of the new year. Separate operations across four police stations have already resulted in the seizure of over 180 kg of marijuana, worth over ₹1 crore.
