**Brisbane, Australia –** Veteran Australian batsman Steve Smith ended a 536-day drought with a stunning century in the third Test against India at the Gabba. The achievement also marks his 15th international century against India (across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is), surpassing Ricky Ponting’s record for most centuries scored by an Australian against India. This was Smith’s first Test century since June 2023, ending a 25-innings wait.
