The match marks a significant coaching clash, pitting Sixers head coach Greg Shipperd against former Sixers assistant and now Renegades head coach Cameron White for the first time.
The Sixers, a consistently strong team over the past decade, enter the 14th Big Bash season with a largely unchanged squad.
