**New Delhi, December 14** – The Indian government is set to introduce a bill in Parliament aiming to hold simultaneous elections for all levels of government within 100 days. Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will table The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024, in the Lok Sabha on December 16th. This legislation seeks to amend the Constitution to allow for the synchronization of Lok Sabha elections with state assembly elections, including those in Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, and Puducherry. The proposed changes aim to streamline the electoral process and significantly reduce election-related costs and disruptions.
