**Visakhapatnam, December 14, 2024** – Andhra Pradesh is expected to experience heavy rainfall in several districts later this week due to a developing low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. According to the Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority (APDMA), the low-pressure area is forecast to form on December 15th and move towards the Tamil Nadu coast by December 17th.

The APDMA, in a press release issued by Managing Director Ronanki Kurmanath, warned of heavy rain at isolated locations in Prakasam, Nellore, and Rayalaseema districts on December 16th. Rainfall is also anticipated in the south coastal and Rayalaseema districts on December 17th. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and take necessary precautions.
