**CHENNAI, December 14, 2024** – Two Indian researchers, Dr. A. Ramachandran and Dr. V. Mohan, both from Chennai, have been awarded honorary fellowships by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). The IDF bestowed this honor upon 17 researchers globally, recognizing their significant contributions to diabetes research.
Dr. Ramachandran, chairman of Dr. A. Ramachandran’s Diabetes Hospital and president of the India Diabetes Research Foundation, was recognized for his three decades of work in diabetes epidemiology and primary prevention in India. The award highlights the substantial impact of Indian research in the global fight against diabetes.
