**Kedarnath, Uttarakhand:** Security at the Kedarnath temple has been significantly boosted for the winter season with the deployment of an ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police) platoon alongside the existing police force. This follows a request from the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) to enhance security, especially since the temple’s inner sanctum was recently gilded.
The harsh winter conditions make guarding the temple a challenging task after its closure for the season. While Uttarakhand Police have maintained a continuous presence, the addition of ITBP personnel ensures a stronger security posture throughout the winter months.
