**New Delhi, December 12, 2023** – The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced today that the Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) for the Civil Services Examination 2024 is now open. Candidates who successfully cleared the Mains examination have from December 13th to December 19th to complete and submit the DAF-II, a crucial step for eligibility in the interview round.

The DAF-II, accessible through the official UPSC websites (upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in), requires candidates to provide detailed personal information, educational qualifications, and preferences for various services and cadres. This information will significantly influence the interview process.

The UPSC released the Mains examination results on December 9th. The schedule for the personality tests (interviews), to be held at the UPSC office in New Delhi between January and April, will be announced shortly.

Applicants are urged to fill out the DAF-II meticulously, ensuring accuracy in all sections including mother tongue, place of birth, educational qualifications, hobbies, co-curricular activities, and service preferences.
