**SEATTLE, WA – October 26, 2023** – Residents in Seattle’s Junction neighborhood experienced brown water this afternoon, prompting a report to Seattle Public Utilities (SPU). Initial reports at 12:56 PM indicated discolored water in the area. While no water-related incidents were initially registered, SPU suggested the discoloration may have been due to routine line flushing.
Later confirmation from SPU at 1:15 PM confirmed the brown water was the result of scheduled Seattle Fire Department (SFD) line flushing.
Residents are reminded to report any instances of discolored water to SPU’s 24-hour hotline at 206-386-1800.
